We extend a warm welcome to our new pastor,
The Rev. Peggy Yingst! Pastor Yingst began
her ministry at Trinity in mid-February, 2010.

A lifelong Lutheran, Pastor Yingst hails from Southern California
where she grew up in Redlands. She was a member of
Faith Lutheran Church in Yucaipa, CA where she served
on the church council, taught Sunday School for 18 years,
served as Jr. High Youth Group Sponsor, Confirmation Teacher
and Synod Assembly Delegate, worked on the Building Committee
and Call Committee and sang in the choir.

She holds Master of Divinity from Pacific Lutheran
Theological Seminary, Berkeley, CA, as well as a
BA in Art-Painting/Illustration/Graphic Design from
San Jose State University.

Her hobbies include fishing, softball, stained glass,
painting and cooking. She will be joined in her new home
in Brattleboro by her three cats, 'Monica,' 'Joey,' and 'Chandler.'

From one of our former pastors: Trinity Lutheran Church is housed in a very traditional building. Our sanctuary is a beautiful example of typical Swedish church architecture. But Trinity Lutheran Church is a wonderful mixture of the traditional Lutherans and people from other and/or no church backgrounds. We are young and old, married and single, heterosexual and homosexual, liberal and conservative, well-off and not so well-off, computer literate and electronically challenged, etc. – a wonderful collection of unique individuals working together to advance the Lord’s work in the Brattleboro area.
